We are an ethical fishmonger, based on the fish quay in Plymouth. We believe we offer the best in ethical, quality fish, and can guarantee full traceability back to the fisher and boat.
Sole of Discretion is a Community Interest Company, owned by the fishers that land to it. We buy only from static gill netters, light trawls under 10m and hand liners fishing out of Plymouth.
We are SALSA audited and are the first wild fishery in the UK able to use the Soil Association’s logo on our packaging.
We vacuum pack our fish into generally 300gm packs, and the packs sit in a fridge rather like a pack of smoked salmon. When the weather is poor, we blast freeze our fish to lock in the freshness and we despatch fish through a third-party courier for next day delivery.’
